ACYOWorld Spiritual Rector’s visit to South America ended

With the blessing of His Holiness Garegin II, Catholicos of All Armenians and under the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Armenian Church World Youth Union and at the invitation of the Armenian Dioceses of South America, the working visit of Very Reverend Archimandrite Tovma Khachatryan, ACYOWorld Spiritual Rector, Director of the Central Office to the region ended with a visit to the national institutions located in Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina.

Holy Father visited “Saint Gregory the Illuminator” national college, which is under the auspices of the Armenian Diocese of Argentina, the educational institution which belongs to AGBU, as well as Armenian nursing home that belongs to the Armenian Relief Society.

Father Tovma had a private talk with pupils of the educational institutions in “question and answer” format, and he invited those, who shall leave for Armenia with their class at the end of their study, to visit not only Mother See, but: ACYOWorld Central office: to get acquainted with and to become the participant of the organization’s programs. 

At the invitation of and accompanied by Father Trdat Ohanyan, Spiritual servant of the Armenian Diocese of Argentina, Holy Father visited also Saint Kevork church and national college of Vicente Lopez city.

The Armenian Diocese of Argentina bade farewell to Father Tovma with an official supper presided over by the Diocesan Primate, with the participation of the members of the Administrative Council/Board presidency and spiritual servants of the Diocese.

It is worth reminding that Father Tovma had left for South America to hold ACYOWorld Diocesan Forums. Forums were held in Brazil (São Paulo, 6 May), in Argentina (Rosario: 10 May, Córdoba: 12 May, Buenos Aires: 14 May) and in Uruguay (Montevideo, 16 May).

For ACYOWorld 2022 is proclaimed the year of Regional Forums and Pan-Armenian pilgrimage. ACYOWorld holds Regional and Diocesan Forums in Armenia and the Diaspora. ACYOWorld Russia and CIS (Kislovodsk), ACYOWorld Europe (Brussels, Prague), ACYOWorld Middle East and Africa (Cairo) Regional Forums, ACYOWorld Diocesan Forums in Brazil (São Paulo), in Argentina (Rosario, Córdoba, Buenos Aires), in Uruguay (Montevideo) have taken place by now.
