"Even today, we must live and create with the vision of resurrection": Easter congratulatory message of ACYOWorld Spiritual Rector
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
The seven-week journey of penance called Great Lent has ended. Getting through fasting and prayer, spiritual and physical trials, self-examination and self-purification, we reached the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection.
And in the footsteps of our Lord, Jesus Christ, we went through the Holy Week, which ended with betrayal, crucifixion, burial and victorious and Glorious Resurrectio
n.
The apostle says the following about our Lord's death: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”(Galatians 2:20), and he says the following about the Resurrection: “But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:
And if Christ be not risen, then [is] our preaching vain, and your faith [is] also vain
(1Corinthians 15:13-14).
The Armenian nation, which has a centuries-old history of sharing the same fate with Christ, has tasted death and resurrection many times. Even today, we must live and create with the vision of resurrection.
Don’t let the Lord's earthly orders be in vain. Let's be the seeds that when buried in love for our close ones, bear abundant spiritual fruits.
At the end of this great spiritual journey of self-purification, enlightenment and refinement, let us give good tidings to one another:
"CHRIST IS RISEN FROM THE DEAD, BLESSED IS THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST”.
