On June 27 with the blessing of ACYOWorld Spiritual Rector, Director of the Central office, Very Reverend Archimandrite Tovma Khachatryan “Biblical keys” course was conducted at the office of the Armenian Church World Youth Union (ACYOWorld) for religion teachers of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and Armenian General Benevolent Union Youth Centers.
Lianna Arakelyan, acting director of Youth Centers, also took part in the course. In the format of an interactive discussion, during the course religion teachers were introduced to new skills to make the Holy Book more applicable and readable for teenagers and young people.
The course was held in two groups, in which all in all more than a dozen teachers took part.
The aim of “Biblical keys” course is to help young people to use the Bible correctly, to identify/recognize the divisions, books of the Bible, and to make the Bible a daily reading book.
The meeting proceeded in an interactive format. It started and ended with the Lord's Prayer.
Holy Bibles, given to ACYOWorld office by the Bible Society of Armenia, were distributed to the participants of the course.
ACYOWorld operates under the auspices of the Catholicos of All Armenians and under the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Hovhnan Derderian. The organization unites global Armenian church-loving youth unions.
