By the blessing and under the supervision of His Holiness Garegin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians, the Armenian Church Youth Organization (ACYOWorld) continues its youth-centered activities.
The office's latest project is the "Bridge" program, which is conducted both in-person and online.
It was launched on October 24th with Zoom meetings with the Syunik Diocese youth.
From November 8-11, within the framework of the "Bridge" program, a workshop was held at the HEYEM office with the participation of over fifty young people from the 12 dioceses of Armenia.
The workshop was opened with a speech by Fr. Tovma Archimandrite Khachatryn, the Spiritual Responsible of ACYO, and the Director of the Central Office. The speech was titled "ACYO: A Bridge Between the Church and the Youth."
During the workshop, the youth participated in hands-on tasks and presented their vision for diocesan Christian youth work. As a result of their collaborative efforts, young people from different dioceses established stronger connections with each other, laying the foundation for future inter-diocesan cooperation.
On Sunday, November 10, the youth visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and participated in the Divine Liturgy presided over by the Catholicos of All Armenians. During the service, prayers were offered for the soldiers, civilians, and representatives of the Artsakh Republic's political-military leadership who were abducted, held captive, and unlawfully detained in Baku by Azerbaijan.
At the end of the workshop, Fr. Tovma, the pastor of St. John Church in San Francisco, Reverend Father Mesrop Ash, and the spiritual caretaker of Saghmosavank in the Aragatsotn Diocese, Rev. Fr. Paren Arakelyan, who is also the ACYOWorld coordinator for the diocese, awarded certificates and letters of appreciation to the participants of the workshop.
ACYOWorld operates under the auspices of the Catholicos of All Armenians and under the leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Hovhnan Derderian. The organization unites global Armenian church-loving youth unions.
